Visa Agreement with EU Countries
Azerbaijan has entered into a visa agreement with all European Union (EU) countries except Denmark and the Republic of Ireland. This agreement streamlines visa applications, reduces documentation requirements, and accelerates processing times for citizens of these EU nations.
Visa-Free Entry
Citizens from 10 countries can enter Azerbaijan for short-term stays without a visa. These countries include Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Turkey, Tajikistan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan. Iranian citizens can visit one part of Azerbaijan, the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, without a visa.
Armenian Entry Ban
Armenians are currently prohibited from entering Azerbaijan, with rare exceptions such as the participation of Armenian athletes during the 2015 European Games. This ban extends to individuals of Armenian descent who hold citizenship in any other country, including Armenian Russians.
