The Azerbaijani electronic visa, known as the ASAN visa, was launched in 2017. Citizens from over 90 countries, including the United Kingdom, may apply online from any location worldwide.

Documents Required

1. Valid Passport

Your passport must remain valid for at least 6 months beyond your planned departure date from Azerbaijan, or for three months after the ASAN visa expires. Upload a clear digital copy when completing your application.

2. Payment Method 

The eVisa fee is payable by credit card, debit card, or PayPal.

3. Email Address 

Your approved ASAN visa will be delivered to this address. Confirm it is correct before submitting.

Processing Fee and Timelines

Pay the Azerbaijan e-Visa fee before submitting your application. Unpaid applications are not processed. Payment is accepted through a secure online gateway.

Processing options for UK citizens:

• Normal: within Within 3 - 5 Days
• Rush: Within 12 - 24 Hours
• Super Rush: Within 4 - 6 Hours

Information Required on the Application Form

Complete the form with the following details:

• Full name
• Gender
• Date of birth
• Passport number, country of issuance, and issue and expiry dates
• Intended travel dates and accommodation details

How to Apply

2. Upload your passport bio scan.
3. Pay the processing fee.
4. Submit the application.

Once submitted, your application enters review. An approved visa arrives by email.

Available eVisa Categories

• Tourist e-Visa: For holidays, sightseeing, and personal visits.
• Business e-Visa: For professional visits including meetings and conferences. Paid employment is not permitted under this category.
• Medical e-Visa: For individuals seeking medical treatment or consultations in Azerbaijan.
• Other e-Visa: For cultural, educational, humanitarian, and sports-related visits.

After Submission

Authorities review your documents and assess eligibility. An approved visa is sent to your registered email address. Save a digital copy and carry a printed version to present on arrival in Azerbaijan.

Entry Requirements

Stays exceeding 15 days require registration with the State Migration Service. Register online, at an ASAN service centre, or through your accommodation provider.

Visa Extension

The ASAN visa cannot be extended. To remain in Azerbaijan beyond the visa validity period, contact the immigration authority before your visa expires. In most cases, you must depart the country and submit a new eVisa application from abroad.
